“Micmacs” is a dramatic story of a man called Bazil (Dany Boon), who has become an orphan in his childhood. The father of a boy died because of the mine explosion in Moroccan desert. The next terrible accident happened to Bazil himself. It was the accident, which totally destroyed all his life and his hopes for the great future ahead of him. Bazil has been shot by someone. With a bullet in his head, he had to stay in the hospital for a long time, with lots of doctors around him, trying to save him.

Leaving the hospital, Bazil finds out, that he has nothing at all, neither closes friends, who could help him, nor home. He has lost the job and doesn’t have any means of subsistence. Homeless and in despair, Bazil finds finally the ray of hope in his life: the group of people, who are working as secondhand dealers. Being a part of a friendly gang (Buster, Calculator, Elastic Girl, Mama Chow, Remington, Slammer, Tiny Pete) and living in a strange place that looks more like a cave than a house, Bazil tries to find those, who made the hole in his head. Bazil’s friends help him to take vengeance on offenders for his destroyed life.

Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, “Micmacs” represents strong friendship of bosom friends, who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of friendship and justice.
