“Survival of the Dead" is a horror film, which continues traditions of its 6 films-predecessors, released earlier under George A. Romero direction. The film follows the events, happened in "Diary of the Dead”, the main idea of which is a non-stop confrontation between humans and zombies.
The story takes place on a remote island off the Delaware coast. Plum Island, as it is called, is a cozy place, inhabited by two powerful clans: O'Flynns and Muldoons.  Besides the place is full of zombies, who represent a real threat for life of all the inhabitants. People die one by one in the families, and the population is endangered. Moreover, the situation gets more complicated because of the conflicting views of the clans.
O'Flynns thinks that all of undead must be killed without exception. Muldoons believe that it would be better to isolate some zombies for a while, until the remedy against them is found someday. But soon it becomes evident, that the forces of zombie outnumber the human ones. And as far as the struggle between alive and undead escalates, it comes to bloody violence and brutality, resulting by thrilling scenes, chilling the viewer to the bone.
