“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is a thriller, based on the sensational book by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson, who died before his novel was published. The plot of the story is closely connected with Harriet Vanger – a woman from the Vagner clan. Forty years ago Harriet disappeared without the slightest cause. Since that time nobody has ever heard of her or seen her and her dead body or bones have never been found. Harriet’s uncle is still of the opinion, that she has been murdered, and murdered by someone from the family of Vanger at that. To prove his suspicions and investigate this affair he decides to hire two co-workers. The first of them is Mikael Blomkvist, a deprived financial reporter; the second one is Lisbeth Salander, a talented computer hacker with tattoo. During the investigation they suddenly come to a conclusion, that Harriet was one of the victims of numerous dreadful murders, shocked the public about forty years ago. But trying to reveal family secrets, both Salander and Blomkvist get involved into the dangerous situation. Now they will have to decide, how far they intend to go to find out the true and save their own lives.
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is considered to be the greatest Swedish film ever existed in the history.
