Psychological thriller and horror film “Paranormal Activity 2” is a prehistory of events happened in the original film “Paranormal Activity”, released in the year 2007.
The plot is centered on a series of strange and annoying events happening within a house in suburbs. The events look like a burglary from the first sight, but after Dan and Kristi, living in the house, install security cameras all around, they realize, they face something more dangerous than a simple break-in. The only thing stolen is a necklace, which Katie, Kristi’s sister, had given her once. Every room is brought into total chaos except a room of their kid. The reason is a supernatural powers – some evil spirit seems to inhabit the house. And the terror continues: the couple hears strange noises in the house; the items move and fall down by their own... As the events of “Paranormal Activity 2” unfold, the life of the family turns gradually into a bloody nightmare.
The film is directed by Tod Williams; the scenario is written by Michael R. Perry in cooperation with Oren Peli. Starring in the film are Sprague Gravden as Kristi; Katie Featherston in the role of Katie; Brian Boland as Dan Rey; Vivis Cortez in the role of nanny and housekeeper Martine and Molly Ephraim as Ali, the daughter of Dan.
