Billy, played by Nick Stahl, is a heartbroken man, who has recently parted with his girlfriend Alice, played by Beau Garret. Trying to get rid of painful memories connected with breaking up, Billy goes to his hometown, situated in Northern Virginia. There the main hero of the film hopes to reconnect with his old friends and find solace. To his surprise Billy hardly recognizes his best friend Stanley, who has considerably changed since their last meeting. Both Billy and the roommate of Stanley, Christian, played by Christopher M. Clark, are also seriously worried about the condition of their mutual friend. Stanley’s behavior is unstable, mysterious, bizarre and really frightening. Billy and Christian team up to know, what’s wrong with Stanley, what bothers him, and why he has changed so much. During their secret investigation the men discover soon the blood-stained evidence among the possessions of their withdrawn from the people around buddy. Step by step they pull themselves into Stanley’s nightmare, leading to a cruel confrontation, which not every person will survive. “Kalamity” is directed by filmmaker James M. Hausler, who is also a scenarist of the film.
