Daniel Alfredson and Nordisk present the final installment of the thriller “Millenium Trilogy”. The third film “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest” follows a new investigation, led by Lisbeth Salander with the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist.
In this installment Lisbeth is placed in a Swedish hospital, where she lies in the intensive care unit wounded by a bullet to her head. She is in critical condition. If Lisbeth survives, she will have to return to Stockholm in order to stand trial for three murders. But Lisbeth is fighting for her life and is not going to give up. Journalist and friend Mikael Blomkvist is the one, who is ready to help her to withstand the accusations and prove her innocence. For that purpose the two have to investigate the case by their own and find real murderers – the corrupt politicians, who are guilty of the crimes in question. Besides Lisbeth is going to avenge on the man, who tried to kill her, and identify and punish the corrupt government institutions, which intended to destroy her life.
Starring in the film are Noomi Rapace in the role of Lisbeth Salander; and Michael Nyqvist as journalist Mikael Blomkvist. The scenario of the film is written by Stieg Larsson, Jonas Frykberg and Ulf Ryberg.
