The film “In the Darkness” has appeared on the screen in the result of creative teamwork of Andre Robinson and Jenna Edwards and financial support by Jeremy McGovern.

The creation of the film has a long prehistory. The fire and its consequences at the Angeles National Forest caused the idea and the content of the film. Having been the witness of the terrible devastating fire effects, the writer and the director of the future film Andrew Robinson decided to assume these happenings as a basis of the plot. His fiancée Andrea Gold was involved in evacuation from the territory of the forest. Having observed the “moon surface” ground after its total burning, Andrew started to write the script. Soon after the script turned into a large project, the idea of the film “In the Darkness” got approved by Mattoid Entertainment. Only few weeks had been taken to write the script, and the filming was started at once.

In spite of the fact, that Robinson Edwards and McGovern first had the idea to make another film, the creation of the film “In the Darkness” was confirmed without any doubts.

Robinson admitted that it was the first time, when the place of filmmaking had been chosen before the script was written.
