The film follows a breathtaking story of kidnapping a millionaire’s daughter called Alice Creed.
Two men – Vic and Danny are planning to kidnap the young woman and hold her for a considerable ransom. For that purpose they make all the required preparations: buy instruments to make the room for hostage soundproofed and provide it with a bed and other supplies, necessary for living. Actually it is not a room, but a sort of a plastic cell, created for the only reason – to imprison someone in there for the certain period of time.
When the preparations are complete and the place is ready, the kidnappers drag the millionaire’s daughter from the street. They put a gag into the hostage’s mouth and a bag over her head, then take her to the room and tie her to the bed. But Alice Creed doesn’t feel like being a perfect victim of Danny and Vic and bringing the kidnappers easy money. Her mutinous and unpredictable temper doesn’t let her captors to follow their thorough plan. Moreover Alice breeds strife between composed Vic and too nervous Danny, and that makes the situation even more dangerous…
The film, written and directed by J Blakeson, stars Gemma Arterton as Alice Creed; Martin Compston in the role of Danny; and Eddie Marsan as Vic.

“Piranha 3D” is a new horror film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Alexandre Aja, known to the audience by his previous work “The Hills Have Eyes”. In the center of the plot is a monstrous prehistoric fish, which spreads terror, blood and chaos within her habitat. This is a man-eating fish, and she will stop at nothing in her struggle against human beings.
The group of unlikely strangers has to team up together to withstand the fish with razor teeth, unless she kills them one by one. Being not crazy about the idea of becoming a food for the voracious monster, people must invent the way to outwit the fish and save their lives until it is too late.
The main heroine of the film, played by Elisabeth Shue, has to risk everything to protect her family and Lake Victoria and fight against aquatic carnivore by herself.
Beautiful aquatic scenes, terrifying bloody fights, plenty of nightmarish jaws, unexpected twists of plot, brave people with quick wits, struggling for their existence in the face of death and, of course, the perfect 3D work – this is “Piranha 3D”.

The old woman is killed within the walls of Oxford. Her body is found by two men – a professor of logic and a newcomer, who has just arrived at the university. The scholar Arthur Seldom and his student Martin decide to join their forces to investigate this intricate case.
They get to know, that the murdered woman is not the only one killed this way. She is just a first victim in a series of murders, and all the following victims are murdered the same way, so our heroes have to deal with a serial killer. He leaves strange symbols marked on the bodies of the killed, which look like some sort of a mysterious puzzle. The professor and his pupil try to unravel the meaning of these signs and crack the code, which can be the only way to discover the one, who stays behind these murders. Thus our heroes get involved into a very dangerous game, the stakes of which are increasing from day to day…

A horror film, directed by Deon Taylor, represents a nightmarish story, connected with a seemingly harmless game, known as email chain letters. The main heroine of the film is Jessie Campbell, a high school senior, and her close friends get involved in this sort of game. Somebody starts sending series of the annoying email letters to the classmates. Figures as the Chain Man, he notifies his victims, that they are strictly forbidden to break the chain of letters. Anyone, who stops forwarding the chain letter, will be hunted down and severely killed by him.
The friends, who first take this game as a stupid joke, soon realize, that the villain is not kidding. The Chain Man proves his terrifying threats by not less terrifying actions, and those, who disobey his orders and rules, lose their lives one by one.
The plot of “Chain Letter” is well provided with strong and bloody violence, spreading horror and panic among the main personages throughout the film. They have to find the way out asap, unless they all soon find themselves dead.

“The Shrine”, directed by Jon Knautz, is a horror film telling us a thrilling narrative of an ancient cult. The story of the film begins with a mysterious disappearance of a young American, travelling to Europe. His path ends somewhere in Poland, in a remote village Alvaina.
The group of journalists decides to take their own investigation of the case. In the village they discover something, that shaken them severely. They get to know about an ancient cult, existing in Alvaina. There is a ritual stone, hidden within the village, which is a part of this cult. The journalists learn that the rituals, which take place in the village, are connected with human sacrifice. Soon they begin to suspect the village citizens in the traveler’s disappearance.
At the same time the locals behave unfriendly and even aggressive to the newcomers. The group of them starts to pursue the journalists, whose lives turn as a result into a real nightmare. Followed by vengeful villagers, the journalists realize, there is something terrible in this place - the secret, which is probably much darker and much more horrible, than they could have ever imagined.
The journalists will have to reveal the true of Alvaina to survive, or they will join soon the ranks of the victims of the ancient cult…

The Girl Who Played with Fire

Late in the evening two journalists have been killed in their apartment. Both of them investigated the cases of prostitution and sex trafficking from the Eastern Europe to Sweden. Among the clients of this sort of business were some authority representatives, for whom it was certainly desirable to avoid publicity. From the first sight it is evident, that someone of them could desire the death of the journalists.
Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) - a publisher of Millennium magazine and a colleague of the killed decides to take his own investigation. Soon he gets to know, that one of his old familiars Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) is under prime suspicion in murder. Lisbeth is a really weird girl, whose hobby is playing with fire. A state of emergency is declared all over the country. The police are hunting at a woman killer, who is considered to be a psychopath.
Independently from each other Blomkvist and Salander also try to reveal the true, connected with the murder and find a real killer of their colleagues.
“The Girl Who Played with Fire”, directed by Daniel Alfredson, is a great mix of action, thriller and mystery. The scenario of the film is based on the original Millennium trilogy, written by Stieg Larsson. “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” was a first novel from the trilogy published and later filmed. The works of Larsson became a worldwide sensation and won a great success soon after his death.

The occupants, who stayed inside, got infected by the dreadful virus. The symptoms of the coming soon disease did not keep them waiting. Their behavior became mindless and totally aggressive. In other worlds they turned to crazy and ferocious beasts.
In order to neutralize the infected occupants and do not allow the virus to run, the specially armed and outfitted with cameras SWAT group including a medical officer is sent to the apartment. But indoors they have found something so much awesome, that neither medical science, nor heavily armed people could manage the situation, which was absolutely beyond control. They have to do impossible to stop the diabolic virus. Or the consequences of its spreading all over the world will turn the whole world into total chaos and hell.

Unthinkable

Directed by Gregor Jordan, “Unthinkable” is a thriller, telling us the story of a great confrontation, both mental and physical, between two main heroes of the film. The first one is a terrorist, who represents a real threat to the civilians of the United States. This man is known from reliable sources to have set three nuclear bombs somewhere on the territory of the US, but there is no information, where exactly they are located. And now the second hero appears. This is the interrogator, authorized to know the true about the bombs location by any means.
The methods he uses in his job are far from being delicate. But as far as the lives of so many people are in danger, the situation implies that such extreme psychological and physical torture are to be done.
The terrorist nevertheless doesn’t want to give up so easily, and the interrogator has to apply the same brutal techniques to his family. First the terrorist’s wife, and further – his children are tortured to make the national enemy speak. Nobody is going to interfere or stop these methods, no matter, how cruel and inhuman they are, because the interrogator acts according to the highest authorities guidance.
Starring in the film are Michael Sheen and Samuel L. Jackson; the scenario of the film is written by Peter Woodward.
